On 9-11 May 2008 we held the second international football fan festival “Eurofan 2008”. This time number of participants increased, 6 teams taking part compared to 4 teams in the last year’s tournament. Status of an international tournament was secured by participation of fan teams representing “Zenit” (Russia) and “Wisla” (Poland). All teams were divided into 2 qualifying groups i.e. “East” (“Zenit” St Petersburg, “Dnipro” Dnipropetrovsk, “Dynamo” Kyiv) and “West” (“Karpaty” Lviv, “Wisla” Krakow, Wales supporters team).

After qualifying matches teams played according to places taken in groups against opponents, which had taken identical positions in another group. Tournament debutants “Dnipro” and “Wisla” met in the final match, fans from Dnipropetrovsk won 4:2 and took home the Eurofan cup. During all matches visitors were entertained by live comments and music (speakers are placed around the ground, DJ and commentator worked with microphones). Beer, beverages and different snacks were sold right next to the football ground for convenience of players and spectators, not to mention free ice-cream for children. Apart from games the Public Organization arranged and paid for accomodation for teams in a comfortable hotel, excursion tour around our city with an English interpreter and after the tournament we organized a celebration party with booze, meals and prizes and mementos for all tournament guests. The tournament proved to be very successful. All participants were more than satisfied with organization and conditions, many person were quite surprised with prices on beer and numerous beautiful girls in the streets of Lviv.
